Reverse Engineering and Part Reproduction

when new parts dont exist, make them yourself

Do you have an old part for a car that doesn’t exist anymore? Or maybe you have a part that is made of plastic or metal but you would really like it if it was made of carbon fiber. This is where my reverse engineering and reproduction skills can save the day.

This process typically begins with a 3D scan to collect highly accurate measurement data and building the part in a computer aided design program. This part can then either be machined from metal or be used as the basis to produce molds for composite parts.

Please see the Dodge Viper Brake Duct project to see how the process works start to finish.
